Back in my corporate life my employees and I in the HR department used to laugh that coming to visit HR was like walking the green mile; especially, if you got a call to come for a visit. Although we laughed about it, the very thought of that walk being akin to the green mile in the so named movie, was really a sad comparison. How often have you had a similar thought about your HR department? or, maybe about your CEO’s office or any other leader’s threshold? How often do you think your employees feel that way about coming to see you?
